Wilmington, NC — August 3, 2026 — American Tire Distributors (ATD) celebrated the grand opening of its new Wilmington Distribution Center on August 1, marking another milestone in the company’s ongoing investment in its distribution network and commitment to delivering greater value to customers.
Customers, vendor partners, and associates gathered for the event, which featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, facility tours, a vendor fair, and food trucks. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the new facility, connect with manufacturer partners, and learn more about the products, programs, and solutions available through the ATD network.

Designed specifically for tire distribution, the new Wilmington facility provides significantly greater SKU capacity than the previous location. Its modern layout enables ATD to maximize inventory storage, improve workflow efficiency, and create a more seamless customer pick-up experience. The facility is positioned to support continued growth while ensuring customers have access to the products they need to serve their businesses.
