President and Chief Executive Officer

As President and Chief Executive Officer of American Tire Distributors (ATD), Stuart Schuette presides over ATD and its wholly owned subsidiaries. As President and CEO, Schuette is focused on driving the company’s strategy and digital transformation to grow the business and help its customers, partners and communities thrive and drive into the future.

Since joining ATD in 2016, Schuette has led ATD’s transformation to become the most connected and insightful automotive solutions provider in the industry. In a world that’s constantly evolving, Schuette’s leadership has enabled ATD to prepare its customers and partners for the future through a rapid distribution network, unrivaled sales specialists, industry-leading digital platforms and a variety of advanced analytics tools.

Prior to joining ATD, Schuette was critically involved in the transformation of the US Foods brand, sales and organization and also served as an executive at Martin Brower, a subsidiary of Reyes Holdings, LLC, the world’s largest distributor of products to more than 8,400 McDonald’s restaurants. He began his career at Arthur Andersen in Chicago in the Small Business Division.

Schuette is a member of the Torqata, and ATD Intelligence Company, and Tirebuyer.com Board of Directors. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois State University.
