    A: ATD-AMERICAN CO. was founded in 1931 and sold the furniture division of the company to Capitol Supply in 2015. A new company was formed, ATD-CAPITOL.

        Q: What is ATD’s guarantee?
        A: Product guarantees vary according to manufacturer of product.
        Q: What is ATD’s return policy?
        A: No returned merchandise will be accepted unless you first obtain a return authorization from ATD. Returns must be made within 45 days in the original factory cartons. Returns are subject to round-trip shipping charges and 25% restocking charges. Custom orders cannot be cancelled or returned.
        Q: What is ATD’s cancellation policy?
        A: All cancellations must be confirmed in writing to ATD. Orders cancelled after shipment are subject to round-trip shipping charges and 25% restocking charges. Custom orders cannot be cancelled or returned. If you need a return authorization, call 888-283-2378

        Ordering and Payment

          Q: How do I place an order?
          A:  You can order in our Online Store using our shopping cart. If you have our catalog and know the model number to be ordered, you can use our Express Order form.           Q: How will I know if ATD received my order?
          A: We confirm all phone and mailed in orders via mail and all internet orders via email and mail.
          Q: Can I receive color, fabric or finish samples?
          A: Due to printing limitations and inconsistencies of individual monitors, catalog images may vary slightly from actual colors. If you need actual fabric/finish swatches, call 888.283.2378.
          Q: Does ATD sell other products that are not shown?
          A: Yes. For items you do not see on our website, please Contact Us or Request A Quote.
          Q: How can I pay for my order?
          A: There are several methods. For information, go to Credit Policy/Payment Terms.
          Q: What credit cards do you accept?
          A: Visa, MasterCard and GSA SmartPay.

          Shipping and Delivery Information

            Q: What is my shipping cost?
            A: Unless Free Shipping is included, shipping charges are additional and will be added to your shopping cart. In order to save you money, all merchandise is shipped direct from our nearest available factory. Charges are based on the expected weight and size of your products as well as the distance from the factory to your facility. Because we make thousands of shipments a year, we are able to negotiate the best rates with the most reputable trucking companies and we pass these huge discounts on to you. Many items are shipped via small package carriers such as UPS. Larger and heavier items are shipped via common freight carriers. After you have placed all of your items in your shopping cart, insert your destination’s zip/postal code in the Shipping Calculator section at the bottom of the cart and click on the “Calculate Now” button. Your total shipping charges will appear. To obtain charges for shipments outside of the 48 contiguous states or overseas, call 888-283-2378.
            Q: What is “tailgate delivery”?
            A: Most large products are shipped tailgate delivery. Your merchandise will be delivered to your location and the driver will bring the items to the tailgate (back) of the truck. It is your responsibility to unload and bring the product inside your facility unless you specify “inside delivery.”
            Q: What is “inside delivery”?
            A: If “inside delivery” is required for larger and heavier products, the truck driver will bring the merchandise inside your facility for an additional charge. (Note that all small package carriers such as UPS will bring items inside your building at no additional charge.) If you require "inside delivery", check the box in question 2 on the shipping information page. "Inside delivery" charges will be added to the total shipping charges listed at the end of the shopping cart.
            Q: Can I be called by the freight carrier before delivery?
            A: If your facility is not staffed during regular delivery time (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday), the carrier will call you to schedule a delivery time. If you need telephone notification before delivery, check "yes" in Shipping and Delivery Instruction Section of the shopping cart. Please enter contact name and daytime phone number in space provided. (Telephone notification is not available for UPS or FedEx Ground service.)
            Q: How long will it be before my order arrives?
            A: Products are either Quick Ship Available or Standard Delivery. Please refer to the “Quick Facts” section on each product page to determine the shipping time. Quick Ship Available: Quick Ship items ship direct from our factories within 1 to 2 weeks. Standard Delivery: Standard Delivery items ship direct from our factories within 2 to 4 weeks.

                Q: Does ATD offer space layout/planning?

                Q: Does ATD provide installation services?
                A: Yes. ATD provides full service installations nationwide. Service includes delivery, assembly/set-up and trash removal. See our Installations page.
                Q: Does ATD accept foreign and international orders?
                A: We maintain a staff of international experts ready to serve our global customers. ATD can deliver your order to almost any location worldwide, on every continent. Delivery methods include UPS, air freight and ocean freight. ATD always selects the least expensive method of delivery that meets your requirements. Export documentation will be prepared for every order.
